Use this for a WPS-PIN request

Have the WPS-PIN setup prompt ready, with the printer on, ink installed and plain paper loaded. This code is different from a router’s WPS push-button method, the permanent printer-label PIN and Direct password.

The recording prints the code page; it does not complete a router connection.

Step 1:Hold Information and Wi-Fi for five seconds

Press and hold Information and Wi-Fi together for 5 seconds, then release. HP identifies this as the WPS PIN Code Page command.

A brief simultaneous press prints network reports instead. If the output is a report rather than a PIN page, check the command before entering any number.

Step 2:Enter the fresh code before it expires

Enter the WPS PIN from your own new page in the setup prompt. Follow the expiry shown by that actual flow. HP’s general guidance describes a short window; the video’s two-minute PIN-lifetime claim is not verified here.

Do not use the source’s code. If yours expires or fails, follow setup to generate a fresh code, or use the HP app’s normal Wi-Fi method.

Step 3:Confirm the network result separately

Wait for the setup application’s result and check the printer’s wireless state. A steady Wi-Fi light indicates a network connection. Then send a small print and inspect the page.

Printing a PIN page is not proof of a completed network setup, and this source does not show that final connection or print.
