Check the connection first

This method finds the printer’s address on its current home or office network. If Wi-Fi is off but a valid network is saved, press Wi-Fi once and wait for reconnection. A steady light indicates a wireless network connection.

If it cannot reconnect, use the connection guide first. Turning Wi-Fi on does not supply missing network settings. A disconnected report may lack a usable home-network address.

Step 1:Print a fresh information page

Load plain paper, make sure the printer is ready and press Information once. If a job needs stopping first, use Cancel and let motion stop.

Read the IP address associated with the active network. The page can also include the network name and Direct password; do not confuse them with the address or publish the report.

Step 2:Use the current address from the same network

To open printer settings, connect the phone or computer to the same network and enter the printer’s IP address in the browser address bar. HP documents this network route to the embedded web server.

If asked for the printer password, use the label PIN or administrator password you set. This settings route comes from HP’s manual; the source finds the address but does not demonstrate a completed login.

Refresh the report after network changes

Print a new information page after reconnecting or changing networks instead of assuming an old address still works. If there is no active network address, resolve the connection first.

The video initially prints while disconnected, then enables its saved Wi-Fi connection and prints a new report. It corrects a spoken Wi-Fi password reference to IP address. Use neither the source’s address nor its private credentials.
