E1 and E2 point to a paper-size mismatch
The document’s selected paper size does not match the paper the printer is feeding. E2 specifically concerns length. The two source videos show the same practical check: compare the loaded paper with the size selected in the app or print dialog.
Step 1:Cancel the mismatched job
Press Cancel (X). If a page has already printed, check whether its content is cut off or wrongly positioned. Continuing an accepted page is an option in the printer’s error flow, but cancelling lets you correct the job before printing the remaining pages.
Step 2:Read the paper’s actual size
Check the packet or paper label. A4, Letter and Legal are different named sizes. Use the name on the paper you loaded; the recording’s approximate dimensions should not be used to identify it. Keep a single size and type in the tray.
Step 3:Choose that size in the print settings
Reopen the document’s print settings in the same app that sent it. Select the loaded size, or replace the paper with the size the document needs. In the video, the presenter opens Print documents in the HP app and compares the available sizes. App labels vary; do not assume a suggested size proves what is physically in the tray.
Step 4:Check the preview and print again
Check the preview for cut-off text or an unsuitable layout, then send the corrected job. The expected result is a normally positioned page without E1/E2 recurring. The videos explain the mismatch; they do not demonstrate every app’s settings.
