Before you start
- Complete the printer’s initial physical setup and connect it to the intended Wi-Fi network first.
- Use the same intended local network on the computer; have plain paper ready for a test.
Step 1:Find the printer in Windows
Search Windows for Printers & scanners. Select Add device and choose the correct Epson printer when it appears. If it is already listed, check that it is the entry for the network connection you intend to use.
The Windows-added entry can provide printing, but the available controls depend on its driver. If you need Epson’s scanning or maintenance software, continue with the exact-model installer.
Step 2:Choose the exact model and operating system
Open the linked Epson support page for ET-2856 or ET-2850. Manually check the operating-system selection, then use the offered product-setup package or required driver and scanner downloads. Do not select ET-2800 software simply because a source title mentions it.
Step 3:Install and select the discovered printer
Run the Epson installer and review its terms and optional data-sharing choices. Confirm that the physical ink setup has actually been completed when asked. Allow the required software to install, select the correct network printer and continue.
Include the scanner software if you need computer scanning. The source selects additional utilities, but installing every optional application is not a prerequisite for one print. Follow the current installer’s prompts, which may differ from the recorded version.
Step 4:Print a test and check scanning separately
Use the offered test-page option or print a small document from Windows. Select the intended Epson entry and confirm that the physical page arrives. The presenter skips this test in the recording, so the written check matters.
For scanning, open Epson Scan 2, select the correct scanner and perform a preview before saving a scan. A successful printed page does not by itself confirm that the scanner software is ready.
