A little preparation

Before you start

  • Be ready to set up your Wi-Fi connection again after the reset.

This reset clears the connection setup

Both source videos teach the same Power-and-Information sequence. One is titled “Factory Reset”, but its explanation specifically describes resetting connections and starting Wi-Fi setup again. This guide follows that demonstrated scope; it does not claim that every stored setting or maintenance counter is erased.

Step 1:Turn the printer off completely

Hold Power to turn the printer off. Wait for the power light to finish blinking before starting the reset.

Step 2:Hold Power and Information together

With the printer off, press Power and the network Information button together. Hold them for around four or five seconds, until the Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi Direct lights flash alternately. Release the buttons.

Step 3:Wait for the alternating lights to stop

Let the reset finish. The two source recordings describe waits of roughly ten to twenty seconds, so use the light state rather than an exact stopwatch deadline.

Step 4:Set up the Wi-Fi connection again

Once the flashing stops, begin the Wi-Fi setup process again. The related reconnect guide takes you from this reset through Epson Smart Panel to the new network connection.

Questions & troubleshooting

Does the “factory reset” video demonstrate a complete erase of every setting?

Its narrated result is that connections, including Wi-Fi connections, are reset. It does not demonstrate clearing maintenance counters or every other stored setting.

How long should the lights flash?

The two recordings describe around ten to twenty seconds. Wait for the alternating flashing to stop before reconnecting.
