Before you start
- A powered-on Canon PIXMA TS3750i and replacement cartridges confirmed for your exact model and region.
- One sheet of A4 or Letter plain paper for the alignment step.
Check the cartridges before opening the printer
The recording identifies the printer as TS3750i. Its title also names TS3720, but this guide does not treat their cartridge numbers as interchangeable. Check the replacement against your printer’s regional supply information.
Step 1:Open the cover and wait for the holder
Keep the printer on, retract the output tray and its extension, then open the front cover. Wait until the cartridge holder stops in the replacement position. Do not hold or move the carriage by hand.
Lower the locking lever for the cartridge being changed until it releases. Remove that cartridge; if this is first installation, the holder will be empty.
Step 2:Remove the protective tape
Unpack the correct new cartridge and gently remove its protective tape. Keep your fingers off the electrical contacts and ink nozzles. Remove the peel-off protection, not the cartridge’s permanent labels or contact strip.
Step 3:Insert each cartridge into its matching slot
- Put the colour cartridge in the left slot and the black cartridge in the right slot, matching the labels inside the printer.
- Insert the cartridge straight and gently until it sits fully back in its holder.
- Raise its locking lever until it clicks. Check that it is secured before closing the cover.
Allow the printer to finish its preparation. If an LCD error appears, read its full code before continuing; noise alone does not prove that the cartridge was accepted.
Step 4:Align after fitting a new cartridge
Canon’s replacement instructions call for print-head alignment. Load one sheet of A4 or Letter plain paper. Press Setup until the LCD shows 4, then press Black or Color to print the alignment sheet.
Place the printed sheet face down on the scanner glass, matching the sheet’s alignment mark to the mark on the glass. Close the document cover gently and press Black or Color again. Keep the sheet and lid still until the ON light stops flashing and stays lit, then remove the sheet.
Questions & troubleshooting
The locking lever does not close.
Check the correct slot and cartridge orientation, and that the cartridge is fully seated. Do not force a mismatched supply. Canon’s cartridge instructions below show the holder and locking motion.
The printer still displays an error after I close it.
Read the complete LCD code and use the linked TS3750i alarm guide. A recognition error and an empty cartridge are different conditions.
Does the video cover every Canon PIXMA cartridge?
No. The source identifies TS3750i. Similar-looking printer names and cartridges do not establish compatibility.
