A little preparation

Before you start

  • Use this when you intend to remove the current network configuration. Have your network details ready if you plan to reconnect.

Step 1:Decide whether a network reset is needed

This reset restores network defaults and disables the current Wi-Fi connection. Computers and phones will need the printer reconnected before they can print wirelessly. It is not an ink, paper-jam or ink-pad reset.

Step 2:Switch the printer off

Press Power and wait until the power light is off. Leave the power cable connected.

Step 3:Hold Network information while switching on

Hold the Network information button—the sheet with an “i” and network squares—and press Power to switch the printer on. The source releases the buttons when the lights begin flashing. Allow the operation to finish; Epson identifies alternating network-status flashes during restoration.

Step 4:Check the result and reconnect when needed

The source finishes with the network lamps off. Epson confirms that restoring these defaults disables Wi-Fi. Set up the desired network again before expecting wireless print jobs to work; resetting alone does not connect the printer to a new router.

Do not substitute the Wi-Fi button for Network information: holding Wi-Fi during power-on controls Epson Connect settings, which is a different operation.

A little extra help

Questions & troubleshooting

Is this a complete printer factory reset?

This guide restores network settings. It does not claim to clear maintenance counters or correct hardware faults.

Why did wireless printing stop afterward?

The reset disables the saved Wi-Fi connection. Reconnect the printer and check that the computer or phone selects it again.
