Before you start
- Load suitable plain paper and have a readable original ready. The printer must be powered on and ready.
Step 1:Put the original against the corner mark
Open the document cover. Place the side to be copied face down on the scanner glass, aligned with its corner arrow. Close the cover gently. The source uses an alignment page as its original.
Step 2:Choose the copy settings
- From Home, select Copy with the arrow buttons and press OK.
- Choose Color or B&W and set the number of copies. Start with one if you want to check the result.
- For an ordinary single-sided copy, keep the normal one-page layout. Open More → Print Settings if you need to check paper size, type or other options.
Use settings that match the original and loaded paper. Two-up places multiple originals on one side; it does not mean double-sided output.
Step 3:Press Start and let the printer finish
Press the Start button. Keep the cover closed while the printer scans. Wait for the output sheet to finish emerging; do not pull it while the printer is feeding it.
Step 4:Compare the copy with the original
Check the intended side, orientation and content on the printed sheet. The presenter reports a finished copy; the stated timing and quality are examples rather than a speed or quality guarantee.
For a blank or cropped result, first check that the original faced the glass, sat against the marked corner and matched the selected paper/layout settings.
Questions & troubleshooting
Is two-up the same as two-sided copying?
No. Two-up arranges more than one original on one side. Use the separate double-sided copy guide when you want output on both sides of a sheet.
Must I connect a phone to use Copy?
No. These steps use the printer’s own Copy menu. The recording mentions other methods, but they are not needed for this workflow.
